Dodge Hits the Bulls-eye with an All-new Compact Car:

The All-new 2013 Dodge PF Blends Alfa-Romeo DNA with Dodge’s Passion for Performance, Resulting in a Breakthrough Compact Sedan That Will Hit the Mark for Drivers

• The Dodge brand is back in the U.S. compact sedan segment – in a big way – as the all-new 2013 Dodge PF makes its debut at the North American International Auto Show on January 9, 2012.

• Like past Dodge PF compact cars, the new PF delivers a sleek, savvy design, exceptional aerodynamic performance and precision craftsmanship

Dodge redefines performance in the compact car segment with an all-new, state-of-the-art four-door sedan. With Alfa Romeo DNA and Dodge’s passion for performance at its core, the all-new 2013 Dodge PF is a thoroughly modern vehicle that’s ecologically smart and fuel-efficient, beautifully designed and crafted, agile and fun-to-drive.

The Dodge brand pulled from its nearly 100-year history of passion for building high-quality, innovative vehicles that stand apart in performance and style, as well as from its partner Fiat’s wealth of knowledge in the global compact car segment to develop the new Dodge PF. And the PF delivers on the Dodge brand promise that drivers should not have to compromise, whether it be power for fuel-efficient performance or a striking, highly crafted, high-tech interior to get a great value price.

The all-new PF is the first Dodge vehicle built on Fiat Group architecture – adapted from the award-winning Alfa Romeo Guilietta. The Alfa Romeo Giulietta platform was lengthened and widened for the North American market, creating a spacious compact sedan that fits the needs of North American consumers. The Compact U.S. Wide (CUSW) architecture underpinning the PF is a solid, state-of-the-art platform. More than 70 percent of the body is composed of high-strength steel resulting in a modern, lightweight, solid vehicle structure – the most high-strength steel of any compact sedan in the marketplace. The Dodge PF is the first of multiple models from the Chrysler Group that will utilize same basic underpinnings, resulting in improvements in quality and reliability, as well as reducing cost, development timing and tooling.

The all-new 2013 Dodge PF also marks the Dodge brand’s re-entry into the compact sedan segment, hitting the bulls-eye with a modern, unmistakable Dodge design that evokes emotion, efficiency and fluidity of movement. Its European structure, compliments of Alfa Romeo, is the basis of the clean, fluid and modern exterior design. Great exterior proportions are set off from every angle by dynamic lines and curves which deliver exceptional aerodynamic performance. A long, shapely hood, accentuated fenders and fluid curves reinforce the athletic stance of the Dodge PF. The signature Dodge full-width tail lamp with indirect glow LEDs highlight the Dodge PF’s low and wide proportion from the rear of the vehicle.

The all-new Dodge PF models will be powered by three fuel-efficient, ecologically smart, powerful, state-of-the-art four-cylinder engines. Drivers can choose from a 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo, a new TechStar 2.0-liter engine and new TechStar 2.4-liter MultiAir four-cylinder engine. The three powertrains coupled with three transmission choices combine to redefine performance by providing the most diverse powertrain line-up in the U.S. compact car segment without compromising fuel efficiency.

The all-new Dodge PF will be made in America, built at Chrysler Group’s Belvidere Assembly Plant in Belvidere, Ill. The Company is in the process of investing $600 million dollars to support the production of future products, including the 2013 Dodge PF. The investment includes the construction of a 638,000 square-foot body shop, as well as the installation of new machinery, tooling and material handling equipment. Work on the expansion began in the summer of 2010 and will be completed this year. The all-new 2013 Dodge PF will arrive in U.S. dealer showrooms in the second quarter 2012.
